Krakatindur (1025m; móberg) er norðaustan Heklu. Árið 1878 gaus vestan og norðan hans og Nýjahraun, sem nær norður undir Valahnúka, varð til. Þessi gos voru stutt, aðeins einn mánuður.

Krakatindur (1025m; tuff) is northeast of Hekla. In 1878, the west and north of it erupted and Nýjahraun, which extends north below Valahnúkur, was formed. These eruptions were short, only one month.
