Sunnanfrá séð er Slaga mest áhugaverð. Neðst ofan við skriðurnar koma fram gráir stuðlabergshamrar (grágrýti). Að ofan eru þeir rispaðir af jökli. Ofan á þessu kemur svört brotabergskennd gosmyndun, sem þó er yngri en jökull sá er heflaði grágrýtið.
Aðrennslisæð þessarar gosmyndunar má sjá norðaustan til í brúninni, ljósgrá brík, gangur, skerst þar upp í brún og fleiri gangar, þunnir, eru þarna. Á síðjökultíma hefur sjór fallið upp að fjallinu. Hraun hafa þarna og nokkuð austar eftir skapað væna sneið af nýju landi.”.
From the south, Slaga is the most interesting. At the bottom of the landslides, gray rock hammers (gray ore) appear. Above, they are scratched by a glacier. On top of this comes a black broken rock-like eruption, which, however, is younger than the glacier that planed the greystone.
The inlet vein of this eruption can be seen to the northeast at the edge, a light gray bridge, a corridor, cuts up to the edge there and more corridors, thin, are there. During the late glacial period, the sea has fallen up to the mountain. Lava has created a nice slice of new land there and somewhat further east.”
