(English below)  Það eru ýmsar merkar minjar að finna víðast hvar um landið, þó við tökum oft á tíðum ekki eftir þeim.

There are various significant relics to be found in most parts of the country, but we often do not notice them.

All these places have a story to tell and are part of our Icelandic heroes who built this country and brought us to where we are now.

Let’s just take a look at this unique rock boulder that stands on a hill on Vatnsleysuströnd.

The story goes that Stefán Sigurfinnson in Auðnar, together with others, founded an association among the residents of the district who built a framed windmill 1918-19. She was to grind dried bones from seafood for animal feed. This peculiar house still stands, i.e. concrete walls that Stefán is believed to have built.

The bone mill lasted only for a short time and was abolished in . . . all info at: https://www.patreon.com/RafnSig
