Documenting Iceland

Iceland Landscape Photography │Bláfjallakvísl Waterfall │ Syðri-Fjallabak

by: Rafn Sig,-

Beneath the Mountain Öldufell on the other side of the Öldudal Valley is the river Bláfjallakvísl. The river comes from Bláfjöll on the Syðri Fjallabak and joins other rivers along its way to the ocean. In this river one can find a hidden gem.  It’s a beautiful waterfall that not many people know about and I haven’t seen many pictures of. This is one of Iceland’s pearls, because the waterfall is hidden in the Highlands of Iceland and its surroundings is extremely vulnerable and delegate. To stand beneath it and see the Suður-Kerlingarhnúka in the background is breathtaking. This is one of the reasons I’m Documenting Iceland.
