Nyrðri Eldborg Volcano seen from Ólafsskarðshnúkar │ Iceland from air

Looking towards Nyrðri-Eldborg Volcano and Bruni Lava field from air, seen from Ólafsskarðshnúkur where we can see Sauðadalshnúkar and Blákollur on the left.  Hengill Volcano in the background. Lambafell and Lambafellshnúkar on the right all cowered in the clean white snow.

It is believed that Nyrðri-Eldborg erupted around 1.000 at the same time we in Iceland where changing religion from the Gods of Thor to Christianity at Thingvellir National park
