Old Geothermal area │ Iceland landscape photo

Documenting Iceland (2017)

by: Rafn Sig,-

Some of the most beautiful hidden gems at Reykjanes Peninsula are almost in my backyard and it only takes me minutes to go there.  This is an old cooled down geothermal area and it’s beautiful all year round. I come there often to document it and see the changes. We the natives don’t talk much about these places as we know they are vulnerable and we have noticed that some tourists don’t care.  I take my customers (photographers) to this place and teach them how to treat the area, where to walk, the best photographic angles and so on. I really love the untouched Icelandic nature

As a native photographer I feel responsible to leave all I can behind to show how it looked like, with my photography, before it’s too late.
