Basta var danskur reiðhjólalás sem kom á danskan markað á þriðja áratugnum sem einn af fyrstu reiðhjólalásum í heiminum.
Basta reiðhjólalásafyrirtækið var stofnað 17. júní 1936 í Sorø og flutti að Lilleøbakken 8. í Korsør árið 1965.
– Verksmiðjan breytti nafni sínu í Marwi árið 1995, en árið 1998 breyttu þeir nafninu aftur í Basta.
Basta var staðsett í borginni Korsør frá 1965 til ársins 2016 þar sem það brann því miður til kaldra kola og það tók nokkra daga að slökkva í lásaverksmiðjunni.
Brennuvargarnir voru tvö ungmenni á aldrinum 16 og 18 ára.
Þeim var greitt háar bætur fyrir brunann, en engin bótakrafa mun nokkurn tíma geta bætt tjónið og fengið hina sögufrægu Basta verksmiðju til baka.
Basta was a Danish bicycle lock that came to the Danish market in the thirties as one of the first bicycle locks in the world.
The Basta bicycle lock company was founded on June 17, 1936 in Sorø and moved to Lilleøbakken 8. in Korsør in 1965.
– The factory changed its name to Marwi in 1995, but in 1998 they changed the name back to Basta.
Basta was located in the city of Korsør from 1965 until 2016, where it unfortunately burned to the ground and it took several days to extinguish the lock factory.
The arsonists were two young men aged 16 and 18.
They were heavily compensated for the fire, but no compensation claim will ever be able to repair the damage and bring back the historic Basta factory.
